Family cheese factory where the visitor will see an authentic cheese factory with modern facilities, where the cheese is made today, but also a replica of a traditional hut of the port, to learn about the traditional production of yesteryear.
Accessible visit to the VEGA DE ARIO CHEESERY
Guided tours are offered starting at the cheese factory where you will learn about the entire production process from the arrival of the raw milk to the labeling and sale of the finished cheese. At the end of the tour you will visit the replica of the traditional hut where you will feel like a real shepherd and there you will learn how cheese was originally made in the Picos de Europa, the techniques, utensils and everything that has to do with the history of this product.
The visit ends with a guided tasting to taste the famous Gamonéu cheese.
