Shepherds and Biodiversity Guided Tour
What does it consist of?
A Scientific Ecotourism Experience to immerse yourself in the life of shepherds and cheese makers of the Picos de Europa and the natural wealth of Onis.
Route in a 4X4 vehicle along the so-called ‘Camín del puertu’ from Benia to the high passes of the council of Onís, discovering the landscapes and culture of the shepherds of the Picos de Europa, and their relationship with the biodiversity of these mountain ecosystems. Includes access to a hut and a cave to learn about the traditional production of Gamoneu cheese. Interpreted by an expert guide. Alternative route will be offered in case of bad weather conditions.
